Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy explains what information Onepiecedle processes when you use the site, why it is used, how long the site keeps it, and the choices available to you. You can play without creating an account.
Information stored in your browser
The site uses browser storage to remember current game state, previous guesses, completion status, game version, preferences, and a randomly generated anonymous identifier. This lets a daily attempt survive a reload and prevents the same browser from being counted repeatedly after a successful solve.
You can remove this information through your browser's site-data controls. Removing it may erase saved progress and create a new anonymous identifier on your next visit.
Daily completion statistics
When you solve the Classic or Laugh challenge, the browser sends the anonymous identifier and game mode to the server. The server uses the identifier only to check whether that browser has already been counted for that mode and UTC day, then updates an aggregate count. The identifier set and aggregate counter expire after three days. They are not used to create a named player profile.
Server and network information
Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may automatically receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, approximate location, timestamps, referrer, and diagnostic events. These providers process information under their own terms and retention rules.
Analytics and Google services
The site may use Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags configured by the site owner. Google services may set or read cookies and receive information such as the visited URL and IP address. Learn more in Google's explanation of data used by partner sites.
Microsoft Clarity is loaded through Google Tag Manager and processes page rendering, clicks, scrolls, and coarse game events such as guess submission and puzzle completion to provide heatmaps and session recordings. Search inputs are masked, and Onepiecedle does not send guessed character names, anonymous completion identifiers, or advertising identifiers through Clarity custom events. The site sends Microsoft's Consent V2 signal before the GTM tag runs: analytics storage is enabled automatically outside regulated regions, while visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland choose first. The choice can be changed through “Analytics choices” in the footer.
Advertising and external services
Advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, IP addresses, and interaction data to deliver, limit, secure, and measure advertisements. The provider and exact technology may vary by page or region. Onepiecedle uses Google AdSense to serve and measure advertisements. See Google's advertising technologies policy.
Where consent is legally required, advertising or measurement storage should be activated only after the required choice is collected. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, although parts of the site or advertising may then work differently.
How information is used
- Provide and restore daily game functionality
- Maintain aggregate completion statistics
- Diagnose errors, protect the service, and prevent abuse
- Understand general site use and improve the experience
- Deliver and measure advertising where enabled
- Meet legal obligations and enforce site terms
Retention and security
Daily completion identifiers and counters are configured to expire after three days. Browser-stored game data remains until it is replaced by a new game version, cleared by the application, or deleted through your browser. Third-party providers apply their own retention schedules. HTTPS is used in transit, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information. Because Onepiecedle does not create named accounts, we may need enough information to verify and locate a request without collecting unnecessary identity documents.
Children
Onepiecedle is a general-audience fan puzzle and is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to online data processing in their jurisdiction. Do not submit personal information through the site.
Changes and contact
This policy may change when site features, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated date above identifies the current version.
